Smart Electric Car & Solar PV System Sweepstakes (Enter To Win!)

Reposted from EV Obsession:

smart car solar sweepstakesReal Goods Solar, a leading solar power installer, is hosting a sweepstakes that I think you’d all like to win. The Grand Prize is: “(A) One home solar electric system from Real Goods Solar up to 1.5 kilowatts DC with standard roof installation (the “System” ARV: up to $7,500); (b) Site analysis for System and design and installation of System; and (C) a three year pre-paid lease for an all-electric Smart Car (ARV: $7,500-$10,000).”

Man, I’d love to win that! Unfortunately, I’m not eligible. Aside from having to own your own single family, detached home (which I don’t), you have to be a legal resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Vermont (which I’m not). But hopefully some of you fit these contest requirements!

solar evEven if you aren’t qualified to enter or don’t win the sweepstakes, I think it’s worth noting that now is a great time to go solar and go electric (if you drive). As Real Goods Solar writes: “Going solar today means saying goodbye to high utility bills and dirty power. Over time, solar can save you tens of thousands of dollars and significantly reduce your home’s greenhouse gas emissions from day one.”

Enter the Smart Electric Sweepstakes here.

And if you’re not eligible, at least check out the Real Goods Solar site and consider getting a quote for a solar power system. Also check out the smart electric vehicles site.

By the way, since Real Goods Solar was generous enough to offer up these prizes, here’s a rather promotional chart of what it offers compared to most competitors:

Full Disclosure: I got nothing from Real Goods Solar, smart, or any related companies for posting this article, sadly.
