A recent survey by the California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) found that 39% of plug-in electric vehicle owners in California owned solar panel systems, and another 17% were planning to go solar within the next year.
Accounting for about 35% of the U.S. plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market, the California market it the largest EV market in the country. The state has seen sales of about 12,000 PEVs. It’s not seeing about 1,000 PEVs sold a month.
89% of PEV owners use their PEV as their main car, and about 2/3 of owners charge their vehicles between 8pm and 8am.
