METHODOLOGY: Install figures are from the MCS Installation Database (269 in 2022, 4,970 in 2023, 20,550 in 2024, 41,042 in 2025); earlier snapshots cite lower totals (~4,965 for 2023; 17,551-20,083 for 2024), which revise upward as late registrations land. 2026 covers January to June only. Cost figures are fully installed, usable-capacity basis, blending the MCS Data Dashboard average with published 2026 installer pricing. The 12.9 GWh capacity is national operational storage across all scales, for context. MCS figures cover certified installs; a small unknown share sit outside the scheme.
